Still on Tantive IV. Bored. Nearly all the way to stupid hick planet I'm supposed to be visiting. Daddy gave me a picture I'm supposed to use recognise the old monk/Jedi guy. Bit out of date but he was hot! Wonder if he still is . . .


This ship is boring and do any of these men EVER shower?  Can't believe I thought the first officer was attractive- don't think he's had a shower since Alderaan. Ew. They say I can only have one shower a day to conserve water but Artoo hacked into the main computer for me so now I can have as many showers as I want! Good old Artoo.

Captain Antilles has been teaching me hand to hand combat. This time I think I believe Threepio when he says it's not ladylike-the tabloids would have a field day if they ever caught me using it. Can see punning headlines now, maybe should tell Antilles to stop. Need to manage my image more carefully especially after the nerf incident.

Have been trying to teach Threepio to cook so at least he'll be able to do something useful . . .will write more later. There's just been a terrific bang on the hull of the ship and my things have been thrown everywhere. Am going to go up and have a word with the pilot.

For my first super-secret mission Daddy gave me a little diary to write my thoughts down in, so here goes!

First thing. Ship food SUCKS. When Daddy said travel light I didn't realise he meant don't even bring my own chef! I have to make do with - get this - only TWO droids. Must admit Artoo's kinda handy, but the limit of his cooking skills is opening cans of beans, and a princess can't live like that. I don't think Threepio HAS any useful abilities. Also, know Mummy's asked him to keep a close eye on me - make sure I don't stay out late or do anything that "violates protocol". It''s not FAIR.

Like Captain Antilles though. He taught me how to use a blaster today! Threepio tells me it's not "proper", but Mummy's not here to complain - ha! Says his son is a fighter pilot, too... wonder if he's hot?

Ran past three Imperial blockades yesterday. Stupid slugs don't stand a chance.
